Growing My Own Food 4

Some time has passed since my last garden update and since then some changes have been made. The radish, mint and onions have done very well but the micro greens are out. So far I’m pretty satisfied with the outcome of this project and try to use something from the garden at least twice a week. My only issue is that I’m pretty much maxed on what I have room to grow. The next things I’d like to add are basil, another herb like oregano and more leafy greens to go with the radishes.

Also lately the pump has been having trouble moving water up to the grow bed. To offset this I raised the height of the fish tank using a 5 gallon bucket and that seems to have done the trick for now. I’ll definitely invest in a higher quality pump when I put together my larger system.  Speaking of the next system is in the works (about 80% done at the time of writing) and will be subject of upcoming posts.
